We know the scriptures are changing in unnatural, supernatural ways. YouTube limits how in-depth our discussions can go. That’s why this forum exists: to dig deeper into our observations, comments, and research. This board is for those who see these changes, to collaborate, explore, and support each other in this journey. Let's build a community where every insight and experience is valued, and together, uncover the profound truths of these un-natural shifts in the Bible Texts.

General Discussion / Exploring Prophetic Passages i...
Last post by Monty - Oct 25, 2024, 07:02 PM
Have you ever noticed changes in well-known prophetic passages in the Bible? Verses like Amos 8:11-12, which speak of a famine of hearing the words of the Lord, or Daniel 7:25, which mentions altering times and laws, seem to be taking on new forms.

Amos 8:11-12: "Behold, the days come, saith the Lord God, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the Lord. And they shall wander from sea to sea, and from the north even to the east, they shall run to and fro to seek the word of the Lord, and shall not find it."

Daniel 7:25: "And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall [wear out (vex)] the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time."

These passages offer rich ground for discussion about how and why certain phrases may appear different today. What could these changes signify in our current era? Are we witnessing the very fulfillment of these prophecies? How do these perceived alterations impact our understanding and interpretation of the Scriptures?

Let's dive deep into these questions and share our insights. How do you interpret these verses in light of the changes you've observed? What do these shifts mean for your faith and study of the Bible?

Looking forward to your thoughts and discussions!

Quote from: USINJESUSMarlene on Oct 23, 2024, 01:16 PMHey there, Tim! So, just a little background—I went through the whole New Testament, Now I'm going through my first run at the Old Testament.

Since this is my first time reading it, I can't tell if this wording I noticed has always been there, but I feel by the Holy Ghost it is not supposed to be. Do you happen to know if this was always in the text, or could this be one of those verses that might have been changed supernaturally?

Are you using Amos8.org to reference your reading?

In the case of Exodus 2:18, the shift from "Jethro" to "Reuel" raises important questions about the identity of Moses' father-in-law. This change might reflect a broader trend of altering established biblical names, potentially leading to confusion about the narrative's continuity. Also, your mentioning of Exodus 4:24 shows a theological challenge: why would God seek to kill Moses if He had chosen him for a crucial task? This prompts an exploration of the nature of God's relationship with His chosen leaders.

The alterations seen in verses like Exodus 14:16 and 14:26, where "rod" is replaced with "hand," suggest a significant change in the understanding of divine action. The rod, symbolizing authority and God's power, becomes less keyed to the narrative, which could affect readers' interpretations of Moses' role in the Exodus. Moreover, the transition from "tables" to "tablets" in multiple instances, such as in Exodus 24:12, may seem minor, but it alters the connotation of the commandments that were given, influencing our perception of their importance and permanence.

Also, your points about the use of "matrix" instead of "womb" in Exodus 13:12 and 34:19 highlight a critical semantic change. The word "matrix" may carry modern connotations that hide the original intent of the text, that was meant to emphasize the sanctity of childbirth and the significance of the firstborn. These changes can potentially dilute the biblical implications and the due reverence associated with these passages.

It was Marlene. As a matter of fact, Exodus is one of the most affected books of the Bible. It's will take me more than a year at the least to review the text, including the obvious things like Aaron's staff being used for the miracles, instead of Moses' staff, and Holy of Holies disappearing.

Exodus 12:5 I thought it was take blood from the sheep not sheep or goats

Numbers 12:8 Moses and God speak mouth to mouth? I thought it was Face to Face.
